Don't you love some of the things your children say? I mean really they say some off the wall things and always at the "right" times.
For example: I was at a restaurant with my father and the 3 kids enjoying lunch. My oldest daughter who was 3 at the time had to use the restroom. So I got up and took her. When we got out she ran up to my father and shouted as loud as she could "Grandpa, Grandpa guess what, I went poop in the potty!" Isn't that great! Makes you want to hide your face, right? Nope, Not me. I was just proud she used the potty.
or how about this one:
My oldest daughter was eating a hot dog and asked "Mom, why does my hot dog look like my brothers winky?" Really where did she get that from? My son was a month old and she just turned 4 when she said that one.
or,
My youngest daughter and my husband where watching a movie and here is their conversation.
Husband: "Lily sweetie, what is that smell? Did you poop?"
Lily: "No daddy I didn't poop, I just farted. Don't worry it will go away soon, I promise."
Husband: "Oh okay"
I mean really. The best ones always have something to do with going to the bathroom. Haven't you noticed?
Here's a few more good ones.
Ariana: "Don't be sad mommy. Christmas is about spending time with family not getting presents. Besides only kids get presents anyways."
Ariana: "You know mommy, good Mommy's take their kids to play in the snow."
Me: "Well Ariana, I told you today isn't a good day, you are sick and need to stay in so you can get better."
Ariana: "Well I guess you aren't a good mommy then"
Lily: "Mommy, Can I have a piece of candy?"
Me: No Lily I'm sorry you didn't eat lunch so you can't have candy."
Lily: "Well if you won't give me candy then you should pack your bag and leave"
Me: "Lily that isn't very nice, you shouldn't say things like that"
Lily: "Well I want a new mommy. One that will give me candy."
Lily: I don't love you and I am not your little peanut. Just leave me alone."
Honestly I thought I wouldn't hear stuff like this until they were teenagers.
Ha! Don't they know when we tell them they can't do something it is because we love them and want the best for them. Notice how my little Ariana is the one with an interesting mouth.
I swear my kids are great. They say wonderful things too. Like
Ariana: "Mommy I love you, you're the best"
Lily: "Mommy you cook the best chocolate milk ever"
Do your kids say anything that makes you smile or makes your jaw hit the floor?
